Ford (F) Vehicle Assembly Plant set to start operations in Nigeria

Ford Motor Co’s new vehicle assembly plant in Ikeja is set to start operations. Assembling of Ford Ranger pickup trucks will start in Nigeria from the fourth quarter of 2015, in partnership with Ford dealer group, Coscharis Motors Limited. Skilled employees will be sent by it’s foreign branches to facilitate the implementation of the Global Ford Production System in Nigeria.
This development will expand Ford’s business operations in the Middle East and Africa region. This will help create job opportunities. The plant will have an assembly capacity of 5000 units.
