Why Buhari doesn’t want Nnamdi Kanu released – Ohanaeze


Top Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is aware that keeping Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), “means that the insecurity in the South-East will continue”.

Reports had it that according to Damian Okeke Ogene, the National vice-chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Buhari administration doesn’t want ‘southeast idol’, Kanu, released.

This newspaper had reported that Kanu, who is currently facing a seven-count charge, had in the application he filed through his team of lawyers led by Mike Ozekhome (SAN), also challenged the revocation of the bail the court earlier granted to him. Continue Reading
