What I told Buhari on Anambra election – Uzodimma

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo has explained that he discussed the issue of insecurity and the performance of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the recently concluded Anambra governorship election at his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at Aso rock presidential villa, Abuja on Tuesday.

Uzodinma was the Chairman of the campaign council of APC for the Anambra governorship election in which Andy Uba, the party’s candidate came third in an election won by Professor Chukwuma Soludo of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Speaking to journalists after his meeting with the Buhari, Uzodinma said he explained to the President how he and other members of the party tried their best to win the governorship election, but did not get the desired result.

Uzodinma added that the national leadership of the party and its candidate, Andy Ubah, are to decide whether or not the declaration of Prof. Charles Soludo as the winner of the election will be challenged in court.

He also dismissed the assertion that the governing APC may not be voted back to power in 2023 due to the prevailing economic and security situations in the country.

According to him, many people are joining the party as Nigerians are happy that President Buhari is performing well. Continue Reading
