Sergei Torop, a Russian who professes to be the rebirth of Jesus has been arrested.

The ex traffic cop has run a cult situated in Siberia for as long as thirty years.

The Guardian announced that choppers and security agents invaded communities run by Torop, otherwise known as Vissarion, and captured him and two of his aides.

They are Vadim Redkin, a previous drummer in a Soviet-era boy band, and Vladimir Vedernikov.

Torop, 59, would be accused of arranging an unlawful illegal association and coercion of cash from followers.

He lost his employment as a policeman in 1989 and established the Church of the Last Testament in 1991.

“I am not God. And it is a mistake to see Jesus as God. But I am the living word of God the father. Everything that God wants to say, he says through me,” Torop said in 2002.
