Premier league set to restart June 17

The English Premier League is set to resume on 17 June with two games – including Manchester City v Arsenal – according to reports in English media.

The 20 clubs agreed to a full return on 20 June, with some games played in advance, in a video conference being held today.

Clubs agreed to a return to full training on Wednesday but now seem confident of resuming their season in little over three weeks.

Should Manchester City lose at home to Arsenal, it is likely Liverpool could wrap up the league title with a win in the Merseyside Derby, which is pencilled in for 20 June.
