Kidnappers kill Ondo Monarch despite Amotekun presence

The alarming level of insecurity in Nigeria has continued to cause destruction of lives and property with a terrific wave of frequency. Terrorists’ who seemed to have concentrated their operations in the Northern part of Nigeria in time past have obviously penetrated the South-Western parts of Nigeria successfully.

A monarch in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Adegoke Adeusi, the Olufon of Ifon was killed by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Thursday evening.

The Olufon was kidnapped by the unidentified gunmen before he was murdered according to reports.

He was killed around the Elegbeka area of Ondo town.

The Amotekun initiative which promised to end insecurity in the South-western part of Nigeria with internally structured architecture of operations, recent deployment of sophisticated weapons, distress response & patrol vehicles as well as engagement of trained personnel, seems to be far from ending the mayhem systematically unleashed by these enemies of humanity.
