Hundreds rescued after deadly flash flooding swamps St. Louis metro area


Additional showers and thunderstorms fell across the St. Louis area on Wednesday morning, one day after an epic, life-threatening deluge swamped roadways, houses, downtown buildings and train stations.

Cleanup efforts were slowly getting underway around the waterlogged city, and service delays were reported on the city’s MetroLink rail service.
