Gov Ortom calls for united Nigeria


Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has called for a united Nigeria as Christians celebrate this year’s Christmas all over the world.

In a Christmas message issued by the governor’s spokesman, Nathaniel Ikyur, Governor Ortom urged Benue people and Nigerians not to lose hope in the country’s project, calling on Nigerians to continue to work together to build an indivisible country.

Governor Ortom noted that as Nigerians celebrate the 2021 Christmas, the yearly commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the love God has for mankind should be everyone’s watchword, stressing that it should inspire Nigerians to love and live in peace with one another.

He observed that the period creates an opportunity for all Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic, political or religious affiliation to come together and work consciously to dislodge the common enemy, terrorist forces destabilising the country to ensure sanity in the system.

Governor Ortom lamented the pain the activities of the terror groups wrecked on the political, economic and social life of Nigerians, stressing that it had dragged the country to its knees. Continue Reading
