The tech giant Google has announced the postponement of its Android 11 release which was initially scheduled for next week, June 3. The company says it is postponing the Android 11 release event due to ongoing protests in the US over the killing of George Floyd which is all over the news and social media.

Google made the announcement via its official Android Developer Twitter handle, stating: “We are excited to tell you more about Android 11, but now is not the time to celebrate. We are postponing the June 3rd event and beta release. We’ll be back with more on Android 11, soon.”

In the announcement, however, Google didn’t specify a date when the release event will hold. Fans on Twitter have applauded Google’s decision of delaying the Android 11 online event, whereas, a couple of users also said there was no need for Google to mix politics and tech announcements.
