FG finally lifts ban on domestic flights


The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has made the announcement that both Lagos and Abuja airports will open for all local flights from July 8.

The minister made the announcement via a tweet posted on Wednesday evening on his official twitter handle.

He also stated that other airports which include Kano, Owerri and Maiduguri and Port Harcourt would also commence operations on the July 11 while the remaining airports would reopen on July 15.

He added that International flights are not left out as flight operations date will soon be announced.

“I am glad to announce that Abuja and Lagos airports will resume domestic operations on July 8, 2020. Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Maiduguri to resume on the 11th. Other airports on the 15th. Date for international to be announced in due course,” he tweeted.
