Fayose says there can’t be true democracy under Buhari’s administration

The former governor of Ekiti state Ayo Fayose has said that there is no reason to celebrate June 12 under a Buhari government.

He said democracy will return to Nigeria when the current president leaves office.

In a statement by his media assistant, he said “Today,  there is no democracy to celebrate and I have not stopped wondering how we got here in Nigeria.”

The former governor added that the achievements of free and fair elections by the PDP have now morphed into gunpoint compelled voting under the APC.

Fayose also added “The people mourn when the wicked are in authority while they rejoice when the righteous are in leadership. Today, Nigerians are mourning.
