Thirty members of the Anambra State House of Assembly have received their Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Awka.

Addressing the public at the INEC state headquarters, where the event held, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Edwin Nwatarali, commended the legislators for their comportment during the election, an act which he believes resulted in a violence-free exercise.

He urged them to continue changing the narratives of election in the state positively while living up to expectation in their respective constituencies.

From the first state constituency of Aguata to the last of Oyi constituency, the lucky legislators-elect received their Certificates of Return amidst promises of giving effective representation to their constituencies for the next four years.

The members-elect interviewed by Channels Television reeled out their agenda for their constituencies and most of these bothered on education, empowerment and conflict resolution in local communities.

They were advised to make the most important needs of the people their priority and push them to realization through the laws they make.
