Coronavirus: 93-year-old woman recovers in South Korea


A 93-year-old woman in South Korea fully recovered from infection with the new coronavirus, the Yonhap agency reported, citing Gyeongsan city authorities.

After 13 days of intensive care, the patient tested negative on two COVID-19 tests.

According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) network, a total of 3,166 patients had recovered completely from the new infection until March 23.

Around the world, some 339,000 cases of infection by the new coronavirus, including more than 14,700 deaths, according to the American Johns Hopkins University. Some 98,800 people recovered from the infection.
