Breaking: Buhari, Osinbajo receive COVID-19 vaccines in Aso Villa


The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo were on Saturday vaccinated against COVID-19.

Buhari was vaccinated by his own doctor at about 11.51am at a brief ceremony witnessed by top government authorities at the New Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Soon after the President, Osinbajo was likewise vaccinated by his own doctor at about 11.57am.

The President and his vice were the first among the country’s essential chiefs to take the vaccine after some forefront health workers at the treatment focal point of the National Hospital, Abuja, were vaccinated on Friday.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control had earlier on Friday got the 3.924m doses of AstraZeneca vaccine which showed up Nigeria on Tuesday for usage in the country.
