Dino Melaye Goes After Fashola, Begs Buhari to Takeover Ministry of Power

7

Senator, Dino Melaye has taken a swipe at Minister of Power, Housing and Works, Babatunde Fashola as he advised President Muhammadu Buhari to take over the Ministry of Power as the substantive minister and urgently ensure the country’s power challenges are resolved.

By asking Buhari to takeover, Dino is calling for the sack of Fashola for not making any positive impact in the power sector.

This comes just some days after he took a swipe at Governor Adams Oshiomole for marrying a foreigner while there are many Nigerian women to choose from.

Melaye said his decision is informed by the epileptic and devastating condition the power sector has left many Nigerians which calls for immediate attention.

In a number of tweets, expressed his displeasure. He lambasted the government for increasing tariff when the supply of electricity is still epileptic and wondered if those Buhari are using actually are there to work for the people.

He urged Nigerians to put pressure on the government and the National Assembly to effect the needed change in the power sector.

the issue of power has been there for almost half a decade, and no previous/ successive administration/govt, seem to be doing anything concerning it. if they (the leaders) were buying fuel the way some Nigerians are buying and see how the power has really deteriorated our economy and send away foreign investors to other neighboring countries like, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya etc. electricity will be paramount to the APC LED ADMINISTRATION. God will help our leaders and bless Nigerians for the sake of the born and unborn children of this great nation

It is disheartening to see that as soon as they decided to increase light tariff, light went from bad to worse. Why will the estimation light tarrif not go downwards to reflect the fact that light was not supplied. How long are we going to be paying for their innabilities

I believe one major reason PMB appointed BRF to Ministry of Power, among others, is because of the confidence the President has in him. Can we give BRF a little more time before we judge him? I think the rot is too much to disappear over-night. If the problem of Power is solved in this country, many problems wound have been solved. I pray this government will solution to this headache.

  6. It has become imperative for us as a people to see another political party emerge, the type that will base its membership on good track record, integrity, achievements, and competence. People like me will love to see a political party where the age limit will probably be 60. The kind that will screen or scrutinize its members of any corrupt practice. A party where justice, rule of law, equity and true or internal democracy will be entrenched. This is my dream party of the future. A party with an ideology based on justice, conscience(fear of God), equity and probity. The type that will cut across the 6 geo-political zones and that will put the interest of the common man, the poor, before antthing. The party that will parade the calibre of people that believe in selfless service, true democracy and patriotism, people of impecable character. To be candid, we, as a matter of expediency, really need a party of this kind or something close to my perceived party to deliver us from this “one chance”. We need it to give these present leaders/parties a run for their money. Don’t even think about it, it is possible to have it. We have the kind of people described, both home and abroad. I just wish I have the kind of money to pioneer or float it.
