Don Jazzy however assured fans that the record label is only down and will recover soon.

He said in response to a question asked by one of his followers on Twitter, who wanted to know if the record label has ceased to exist since its top artistes are already leaving.

The follower asked: “Mr Jazzy, is Mavin dead or Buhari’s change has hit your label? This one your top artistes are leaving, leaving behind the learner’s and the upcoming?”

Responding, Don Jazzy said: “Naaa we never die. We just faint small. E dey happen. Pray for us to recover if you can.”

Reekado Banks left the label in December 2018 to form his ‘BANKS MUSIC’ imprint.

Mavin Records was founded in May 2012, after Don Jazzy and former label mate, Dapo Oyebanjo, aka D’Banj parted ways.
