Another important landmark has been achieved by casting in concrete and putting into position the road surface or decking for Bridge 7 on Avenue 1. Bridge 7 as it is currently referred to in the Master Plan is the first out of a total of 10 bridge locations in Phase 1 & 2 of the project and has now reached the most advanced stage of all of them.The bridge is located immediately to the west of the Central Business District and in total is 6 lanes wide (3 lanes in each direction). This development is gradually drawing close to the full manifestation of the mega city. Foreign and local investors are thereby encouraged to keep their eyes open for the great business opportunities that will emerge at the completion of this project.

Nigerian Stock Market Status

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) All-Share Index has declined by 3.46 per cent in the first half of the year due to the fact that investors had maintained cautious trading. The ASI, which opened the year at 34,657.15 closed at 33,456.83 on Tuesday. However, the market capitalisation which is the worth of equities, recorded a lower decline of 0.5 per cent or N58 billion. The market capitalisation fell from N11.478 trillion at the beginning of the year to close at N11.42 trillion yesterday.
